2 much power not enough brake

my problem is i have a 1985 camaro BERLINETTA sport coupe with a motor that plasters you to the seats but the brake holding power is not enough. how do you go about upgrading the brakes so that when in you put it into drive the brakes can hold the car from moving. without going to extremes any help would be appreciated

As compuwiz implies, there are a number of big brake upgrade kits (search ebmiller88 for example). Baring that, you might consider new rotors, pads, lines, etc.
