speed bleeders

Ok, I used the search but still have a question. I just tried to install the Earl's solo bleeders and they don't fit no matter what the Earl's site and Summit say. They are simply too large for my 1984 Bird's rear wheel cylinders and front calipers.

So.... I am seriously considering trying Russel's speed bleeders. has anyone had good or bad luck with them? I remember reading somewhere that they had problems with the Russel's bleeders, but can't find it. Anyone with good or bad to say about them?

Also... anyone know the thread size for the drum brake wheel cylinders and front calipers? Earl's says 10 MM X1.5 but after this experience I don't believe them!
Thanks in adavnce.

Re: speed bleeders

I know for sure AdvanceAuto sells speed bleeders, mambe the 'zone does 2, just take the right thread size down their (some have it on hand some don't)if they go "uhhh... we don't carry them" tell them look it up in the Dorman catolog (or easier remember has HELP! section) that way you get what you need and don't have to worry about shipping just pick em up the next morn if they arn't on hand.
