Hidden braided brake lines
I was thinking about a way to hide the braided lines but still have visible lines. What if you spray painted your braided lines flat black and then used some of that skrink wrap stuff that shrinks when it is heated. It would still look like a rubber brake line but provide better brake feel due to the hidden braided line. I can't imagine the brake line would look much larger. Any comments?
The only thing I can think of that might be wrong with this is the shrink stuff might crack and fall off.

Re: Hidden braided brake lines
Judging by his autocross pic in his sig, I'm guessing he wants to go SS brake lines, but they aren't legal in his class, so wants to hide them. Did I get it right, racing geek?

Try this.
NOTE: Recovered ID is after its heat shrunk. So make sure its the correct size AFTER shrinking.

Re: Hidden braided brake lines
Just zip tie 1/4" rubber hose over it.
We do it for more protection from flying debris and rubbing.

Re: Hidden braided brake lines
Or you could cheat and use covered braided hydraulic hose like I do. The stuff is black and has a soft braided cover over the stainless core. It's also dirt cheap from hydraulic shops and will hold up just as well as any braided brake line.
