I suspect Master Cyl... Do you?
My brother just called me from Ft Bragg. He jsut got back from Iraq a week ago. His 86 IROC had been sitting for more than a year. With a few starts but no driving.
He says when he started it the first time since his return the brake pedal goes to the floor with no resistance.
He would see a leak for sure since it hasnt been out of the garage in a year. BUt no leaks.
He said the fluid in the resoviour is black as coal w/ sedement on the bottom. I told him ive seen this in brake systems that work fine but maybe the sitting for so long did it in.
All my research points to the master cylinder. You guys agree? If so, how would it sitting for that long hurt the cylinder which wasnt in use?
Thanks guys.
