PLEASE HELP PBR BRAKE ?

I have read through Eb Millers page, but still have a question. I am doing a Drum to disc conversion with a PBR set up i got at the junlyard from a T/A. I installed the bracket, and for some reason (it seems) like the axle is either not all the way in or the not the right size? reason being is the caliper ''pulls'' the rotor and becomes 'askew' and the wheel rubs the caliper. Will this be fixed once i tighten the wheel up??

Thanks for everyones help, by the way its a 9 bolt rear, and i removed the set up from a 9 bolt as well. i am assuming the axles are the ssame from both rears, i know the driver is shorter than the passenger side, but i am assuming all 'rear 9 bolt' rears have the same length axles?

thanks,

Re: PLEASE HELP PBR BRAKE ?

What year car did the donor brakes come from? The axle flanges are larger for a drum car than for a disc car so the flanges may be too large to properly sit inside the rotor face correctly. Please PM me with your number and I'll walk you through it, you may need to either have the axle flanges turned down or get a slightly different rotor.

All 9 bolts will have the same length axles.

Re: PLEASE HELP PBR BRAKE ?

thanks for the reply Eb, it turns out i was installing the bracket on backwards. so the caliper would not 'align' with the rotor. (if this makes any sense) but i figured it out after messing with it for several hours! thanks for your help though!
