Disc brake conversion
Disc brake conversion
My 92 camaro RS came with drums brakes in the rear and fairly small discs up front. I was wondering how hard is it to convert drums to discs and how much would all the parts be including 4 drilled rotors and larger calibers?

Re: Disc brake conversion
It's really easy if you just swap to an entire rear that already has disc brakes.
calipers, all depends on what you're looking for. anywhere from a couple hundred for a simple 9bolt non pbr swapin to thousands of dollars for crazy 1000hp setups. The most annoying thing you'll probably have to deal with is flaring the brake lines, and if you go with non-stock, adjusting the line flow.

Generally, there's no need to reflare lines. It's a simple bolt-up..

hey Ed. I live in NYC so its kinda hard to get my whole ear out in the street. You think its possible to do the drum to disc swap without removing the rear or axles? if so, can you maybe explain that process. Thanks a lot
