Help from a brake expert needed

I need help to make repairs to the front right (passenger) side that the caliper assembly bolts on to the frame.

Specificially the retainer bolt that bolts on to the left side of the caliper to the frame (the frame side is supposed to be threaded but is stripped) a couple of people told me to get a "heli coil" to thread the frame part.
Before I head out and spent money I hope someone can advise if this is correct.

Questions -
  • what size is the retainer bolt
  • what size does the bolt receiving hole need to be threaded
  • should I use a bigger bolt after it's been re-threaded, if so what size?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Help from a brake expert needed

take the bolt thats for the stripped hole to a parts store that sells nuts and figure it out. Then get the helicoil you need for that thread style. you will need a drill bit, A tap, and a helicoil kit. very easy to solve that problem.
