drum to disk questions

my current set up in my 86 camaro is the stock 2.73 open differential with drum brakes.

i am slowly blowing the rear end out of this thing. since i redid the motor with almost twice the power.

i have found locally a disk brake posi rear end, and the seller is willing to throw in the proportioning valve as well, so i can switch to disk brakes.

do i also need the disk brake master cylinder, or can i just switch to the disk proportioning valve with my drum master cylinder?

thanks in advance!

Yes. You can use either master, though I'd use the disc/disc. Grap the disc proportioning valve. By the way what year is the donor car?
