Big Third Gen lover here, not that they ever stopped great but I've changed EVERYTHING in my brake system, stopped lousy until I changed the booster,I had an 86 IROC and parted it out, kept the booster, tagged AK with the Black/White sticker label from GM that I now put on my sweet 92 ragtop, also V8 (booster was also labeled AK)..there is a huge amount of gap as I brake with my foot,BUT WHEN IT STARTS STOPPING,I NEARLY GO THROUGH THE WINDSHEILD,WOW WOW WOW.....my question is about the booster...or is the little plastic "plunger" in the booster a different length in different years or applications,I am not sure if bleeding again is what will fix it..it is a precise booster question and would love all help....THANKS!!!!!

I don't know about the years at least on these cars. But you are on the right thought process with your idea.
If you don't get an answer you could see if a parts store pulls up 2 different part # or even call a dealer.

thanks bud,the dealer gave me the same part # for all 82-92 V8's disc/drum booster...the worry I have is if there is a difference for the length of the plunger-thingy in the booster, can add a survey question:if y'all can see the tag as AK on your own cars...
