I don't know the year of the rear what can i do to make these work the rear brake cables are from my camaro and it was a firebird rear are they different i think the rear is an 88!!!

If you went from a 9 bolt to a 10 bolt, you went down in ring gear size, not up.
Yeah I typed wrong sorry but can you help me with the question?

Both rears have the same iron calipers?

There are 2 different designs of the ebrake cables. One has longer housing and shorter cable, the other has shorter housing and longer cable... Check NAPA's website and it will give you the exact measurements.

Check what kind of calipers you have first, if you have PBR calipers you will need to go and order PBR ebrake cables from any 89 and up Camaro or firebird, the connector when the cable connects to the caliper is completly different. If you have iron calipers than your best bet is to go and ask for the e brake cables from a earler year, like 84.
Saber, yeah that sounds right the hook ups are different i believe they are PBR. Ill have to check put what you said I know they were aluminum caliber's an option i was told when you ordered the car.

Cars weren't equipped with PBR's (11.7" rotors and single-piston alum calipers) until 89 when all rear disc brake cars had them). If the rear you're swapping in has rotors and calipers that are the same as your fronts, you have the old Delco-Moraine set-up, 82-88.

I don't think they are the same i believe that the rear must be newer than 89 which would make sense now i just have to find a set of cables somewhere?

Check to see if the new rear end is the same length as the old. If it's longer by some four inches, you have a fourthgen rear. The LT1, 93-97, had PRB's (which are nearly identical to the thirdgen version); The LS1 calipers, 98 up, were quite different. If the rear is the same length as the old with iron calipers it's 82-88, with PBR's 89-92.

THe hook ups are diffrent and they are not the same as the front so it looks lioke im giving PBR a call.
