stock pads and rotors

It`s time for me to redo my front brakes and in my searches all the info I`ve found in the best stock replacement stuff is several years old.I dont tend to believe what the parts counter guys tell me so I`m asking here.I realize some may tell me to do a big brake upgrad. While it`s in my future plans its out of the reach of my current bubget.I`ve read conflicting reports on cross drilled and slotted rotors so I guess Id just like to get a set of good replacement rotors unless someone can inform me why I need the others. Not even sure if I need rotors, may just get mine turned. So ceramic or what?Any brand better than another?

I'd say get the cheapest parts you can, if your planning on a brake upgrade in the near future. If it's gonna be awhile before you upgrade the brakes, then get the best parts your budget will allow.

Re: stock pads and rotors

if your on a budget dont even bother with crossdrilled and slotted rotors now, i got a great pair of rotors and pads for 55 bucks at my local pepboys i think the brand was bendix? something like that....and its pretty cheap and they bolt right up with no problem.

Bendix or Delco rotors. Hawks pads.
