disc runout

Is checking runout on used brake rotors a reliable method of finding warped rotors? I was checking on the back side, near the outermost edge, and was getting about a .025 difference.

Thoughts?

Check more than one place, that will give you a good indication. Its possible to follow different grooves or worn spots and get a bad reading.
