Ebay Rotors

Ok so I've gotten the ignition and fuel tuned and set. The Z is an absolute 0-60 monster with the 4 speed manual. However putting the whoah on the go is uuuuuuh sh**ty. I see cross drilled and slotted rotor kits on E-bay for pretty cheap. I was wondering has any body used them. Also I want to use a set of Hawk pads.

"You get what you pay for."

Brakes and tires are the only things slowing you down. Guess what 2 things I never go cheap on?

I've seen plenty of people complain about cheap warped ebay rotors on other forums. I wouldn't do it. Even power slot or duralast makes stuff that will last longer and stop better.

Re: Ebay Rotors

I am in about the same situation as Bowtiebruiser; I would like to up-grade my front and read discs to something better too. I would like to get a safe and reliable product but, I would also like to get a little more “bling” (drilled and/or slotted) at the same time.

I agree with jensen73110 that the brake board is full of people complaining of the low quality rotors that they got on e-bay. So, does anyone have a reasonable alternative brand that they have experience with? Remember, not everybody is ready or able to up-grade to big Baer or Corvette brakes; I am just looking to up-grade the stock 4 wheel disc system (for now).

Thanks.

Re: Ebay Rotors

I got D/S rotors off ebay several years ago

The zinc coating lasted about 1 1/2 years
Ive got nearly 75,000 miles on this set and they are finally beginning to warp

To put it in perspective, Ive nearly worn the slots flush with the surface

Alot of people have had issues with them so take it as you will

Re: Ebay Rotors

Try http://www.yearone.com/serverfiles/f...ain2.asp?cat=G. Enter part # BK82. Rotors, pads, and hardware for $209. I like 'em a lot.

Why do it twice when this is noticably better than stock for a good price....

Re: Ebay Rotors

I noticed no difference

I got them simply because they were cheaper than autozone OEMs
