upgrade to c5 rear brakes or fix my pbr's what's best
i have a 91 rs B4c with the pbr rear, either the calibers are stuck, lines are plugged, or something, either way my rear brakes are completely not working. before i go out and buy parts for my current pbr, should i keep and fix my pbr's, or swap out to a c5, i have no need for an emergency brake, is c5 an upgrade or the same as what i have, i would also like a larger rotor since im running 19" c6 rims out back and bigger rotos would look better, opinions please on whats a better option thanks
by the way i've already upgraded to ls1's up front with ss brakelines

I could be wrong, but if you upgrade to LS1 rears you'll be able to use an ebrake.. where you would not be able to with the C5's.

im also looking at whats more cost effective i figure i could do c5 rear in the $$300's, using used part of course with Ed's brackets. my pbr calibers are 100 bucks a piece. i was able to upgrade my front for less then 400 bucks,
if i were to go ls1 rears, i would most likely look into swapping my entire rear with an ls1, i could remove my spacers, and keep an ebrake, but thats more of a project then i need right now

swapping out a rear end is easy...

you can use the ls1 rear rotor and ebrake set up and put the vette caliper on instead of the ls1 caliper. you need to trim a little of the antirattle spring or what ever its called for the caliper.

Re: upgrade to c5 rear brakes or fix my pbr's what's best
I just picked up an LS1 rear, complete with rotors and calipers. I have a full set of C5 brakes sitting in the garage. If i were to swap the C5 calipers over, is it pretty obvious what needs to be trimmed to make them work? Is there a how-to w/ pics somewhere? Thanks...
