Poor braking when first starting out
This is a 91RS with stock disc/drum brakes. When I first start out with the car after it has set for a few days it has little or no braking. Seem like the rear brakes do not work at all. After driving for a while braking improves, but still is not great.
I have replace the rear brake shoes, adjusted the rear brakes, and bleed the brake lines. No fluid leaks. I put the rear on jack stands and the rear brakes were unable to stop the wheels (either side) with the car idling in gear.
What do I try next. Master cylinder??? Prop Valve???

Most likely you need new rear wheel cylinders.
Happy Racing!
If People Drove Any Slower Theyd Be Going BackwardsFog lights are not driving lights. Keep em turned off slow pokes.
How bout those dorks too scared to drive without headlights on in the daytime!

Re: BROKE BRAKE
Yes, I had followed that other thread. Even though that is for rear disc, it has many similarities.
As for the wheel cylinders, I think it is a possibility, however find it unusual that both sides would start doing this at the same time. I guess that is why I was thinking more in line with something that would effect both sides.
