LS1 to LT1 rear brakes
Here is the deal. I have LS1 rear brakes on my Moser 12 bolt. Now, i bought a set of Greg Weld comp lite wheels. They said they wont fir the LS brakes, but they will fir the LT rear brakes. My calipers are ground down, so i need to check but he said they still wont work.
Now, i have a set of backing plates from a BW 9 bolt and a GM 10 bolt with the old iron calipers, will these work with the LT1 calipers? Or do i just have to get those clunker iron pieces? Or is there a chance(i doubt it) that the LS1 backing plates will work with any other rear brake calipers?

I think you still need the lt1 backing plate since the rotors are 11in or so.
That's what my 10 bolt has on it. I'm not sure the 9 bolt would be compatible.

Re: LS1 to LT1 rear brakes
That is what i was thinking, i just hate the iton backing blocks for the LT stuff. My buddy used a set of PBR third gen backing plates i think, had to shave a bit off if i remember correct...

Re: LS1 to LT1 rear brakes
I'm pretty sure based on what I've read on here that the 89-92 PBRs are the same as LT1 rear disks. My buddy has a 94 Z28 and his brakes look identical to the PBR rear setups I have so I think it true.

Re: LS1 to LT1 rear brakes
The 9- and 10-bolt PBR backing plates have different bolt patterns, so they aren't interchangeable. Use the correct backing plates for your application and the 89-97 calipers will work.

The 82-88 Delco-Moraine backing plates won't work with PBR's.
