drum to pbr rear discs swap update
well, i swapped my 10 bolt drum rear brakes to rear pbr discs and calipers...i got the mounting brackets to axle flange from ed miller, i have to say that ed is honest and very helpful ..the kit comes with all bolts and even lock-tight!...i basically bought everything new....rotors -pads-rebuilt calipers all rear brake hoses and even the one that splits at the diff...everybody seems to forget to change that one,,,remember our cars are 25+ years old!...after bolting everything on ,,i have a few issues after driving the car to test it out...#1 the e-brake is ok,,but will not hold my car down a drive way...#2 there is some minor rubbing from i guess the rotor to caliper brackets...#3 my brake pedal is really hard and at low rpm's it is difficult to stop properly...i'll fix and adjust what needs to be done and i'm sure it will be worth all the money and work i have put into this conversion...the only issue that bothers me is the brake pedal being so hard ...maybe my booster is tired?...i hope this helps anyone who is thinking about doing this swap...it is fairly easy to do...and i recommend anyone to do it...ed miller is a gentleman and is always ready to help...anyone out there can help with my booster issue?...thanks.
