Will a fourth gen slave cylinder bolt right up?

Hey guys, im having a hard time getting a streight answer for this question. Im switching my 87 over to an LS (LQ4) set-up, with a T-56. Before i install the set up, i want to intall the slave cylinder just because it will be easier to get around the engine compartment............. anyway, will a fourth gen LS slave cylinder bolt right up to my third gen, or will i have to do any modifications?

This is in the brake board, however the only slave I know of is in the clutch system. What are you talking about?

Ok, sorry. Ive always known it to be the slave cylinder master cylinder. The piece that mounts to the firewall, has two hoses running to and from. One goes two the cup that holds fluid, the other to the tranny. Also goes through the firewall, and attaches to the clutch pedal. If you look it up on th web by that name, it comes up as that part! Thanks for the input

Re: Will a fourth gen slave cylinder bolt right up?

You named two parts there. A slave cylinder. And a master cylinder. The master cylinder bolts to your firewall and connects to the reservoir with a line that goes down to the SLAVE cylinder.

So, if you're asking if a fourthgen clutch MASTER cylinder bolts directly up to a thirdgen firewall. Yes, it does.

The slave cylinder is going to be dependant on what transmission you have and what year it is.
