Size of Drums
Hi All,
I've searched and can't seem to find an answer to what I suspect is a simple question- I just brought home an 84 Z28 with the HO engine and expected it to have disks all around (it was an impulse purchase, the body and interior is great and I was not terribly concerned over mechanicals).
Anyway to the point- I'm trying to get it fully road ready and do not want to go to disks right now. The issue is when I look up brake drums on various sites I get 9.5" and 12.02" w/fins listed and since I have not pulled the car apart yet I have no idea what to order.
Are there 2 different sizes or is the 12.02" the same ID only finned to dissipate heat more effectively? If someone reads this and knows for sure can you respond ASAP so I can get parts ordered soon.
Thanks

If People Drove Any Slower They’d Be Going Backwards
When you see fog or “running” lights on in good weather beware. WLow performance driver ahead.
How bout those nitwits too scared to drive without headlights in the daytime
and the nitwits that need headlights for a little rain
