caliper powder coating help

I just powder coated my ls1 calipers and it did not come out very shiny. A lot of orange peel to it. I put on 2 coats already and was wondering if anyone knew if it was ok to do a 3rd coat of color of if I should put a 3rd coat of clear on them.

I have already done the rears and they came out good. I am not an expert at it just looking for some advice. I am using all eastwood products.

Used mirror yellow color.

Keep Your Powder Dry

Don’t let it get too thick.
Be sure to heat the part fast enough that the powder melts and flows prior to its’ crosslinking.
Don’t apply it in high humidity.
When using an electostatic corona gun, reduce the level of KV's you are using to charge the powder.
It might be necessary to apply a T.G.I.C. polyester achieve a smooth finish.
Check your ground.
Remember, just because the powder sticks doesn't mean you have achieved a proper ground.

Happy Racing!
