Master cylinder replacement

Hey guys this weekend I am going to replace my master cylinder. Now here is the thing this is my first attempt at such a job. I was reading up on it and found something that said I needed to bench bleed the master cylinder. Can I just install the cylinder fill it with fluid then just bleed it at all the brakes? And do I just loosen the bleeder nuts enough for fluid to come out or do I need to completely unhook the brake line to bleed them?

Bench bleed off the car (if you buy a kit, instructions are usually included).

Loosen. Follow standard bleeding instructions, going from rear pass to rear driver's side to front pass, to front driver's side.

Re: Master cylinder replacement

Since I don't have a vise to put the master cylinder in for the bench bleeding, can the same result be gotten by putting it back on the car then bleeding off each of the ports. I have the basic ideal on how the bench bleeding works just no vise. Thanks
