I have a 1992 Z28. I have a whole LT1 car.. I want to use the brakes from it to put on my third gen. What will I need off the car and what needs modified? I searched but didn't find anything.

 

The usual front brake upgrades include the 1LE, LS1, and the 'Vette brakes. Most members don't consider the LT1 fronts a worthwhile upgrade. If your car currently has rear discs, those brakes are essentially the same as the LT1's, so you wouldn't gain anything useful. If you have drums, you can mod the axle flanges or purchase a kit to use the LT1's brakes on your rear. Or, of course, you could swap in the entire LT1 rear. If the gear ratio is different than your original, a change in the drive and/or driven gears will be needed to make the speedo read correctly. Either way you'll need a second-design 1LE combination valve and perhaps the second-design parking brake cables (I'd try the LT1 cables first as they may fit).
