best brakes for 15 inch wheels

so im looking for the best or biggest brakes i can fit behind my summit race star wheels. they are a 15 in wheel but i also want them to not look tiny when i put a set of 17's on it to cruise with.

i have a completely stock set up in front but have a 9 inch in the rear with s10 drums. that i would also like to switch out for discs..

any opinions?

The biggest brakes you stuff inside a 15" wheel will look small inside a 17".

An option for rear disk

Re: best brakes for 15 inch wheels

Wilwood makes a kit with 11" rotors for the front that will fit under a 15" wheel:

They also make a kit with 12.19" rotors and a parking brake integrated into the rotor hat that will fit under a 15" wheel:

That rear kit isn't an exact match to you 9", but it gives you an idea of what Wilwood has to offer.

Re: best brakes for 15 inch wheels

I put 4th gen brakes all the way around on mine, but the wheel design is important for them to fit. I had to do some grinding on the calipers to make them clear the wheels, but they fit with my Z28 wheels. I had some summit street stars on the car at one time also and I think the 10" wide ones fit, but the 8" wide ones didn't because of where they place that really small diameter in the wheel to aid in mounting the tires. If you were to use wheels for a newer vehicle with more backspace and put some 1.5"-2" spacers on too, that could work. My best advice would be to find someone with a 4th gen and see if your wheels have a chance of fitting.
