Stock master cylinder for manual brakes?
Would the stock master cylinder for a DRUM rear 3rd gen make a suitable master cylinder for manual brakes?
They seem to have a bore size similar to what many people use, and some have used the 4th gen master cylinder, which even has a larger bore if I remember correctly.
Or is there some reason this could not work, and be made to work well?

Re: Stock master cylinder for manual brakes?
The only thing i see wrong with the stock master cylinder is the reservoir tilts down.
I'm running a master cylinder from a S10 pick up with manual brakes the reservoroir sits level. The bore size is 36mm in the front and 24 for the rear

So how do you like the S-10 master cylinder, does it work well? Did your stock brake lines work?

Re: Stock master cylinder for manual brakes?
The S10 master cylinder works well on my racecar. But i have after market brakes front and rear and custom brake lines. The lines coming out of the master cylinder are 1/2-20 for the front and 9/16-18 for the rear and they exit on the fender side. There's a lot of people on this site that use the S10 master cylinder for manual brakes
