why not LT1 front brakes?

ok so after a ton of searching i havent found a single person putting front LT1 brakes on their 3rd gen, im currently parting out a 95 Z28 the rear is on its way into my third gen, ive been researching on putting the front brakes on.. are these similar to the c4 front brakes?? ive been looking at flynbye.com (found it on here) to get a proportioning valve.. but again i ask.. WHY no Lt1 front caliper swaps? thanks anyone.. and if u need 95 z28 parts gimme a shout

I asked a similar question, and all I got was "unless they are upgraded calipers it's not worth it" no one would tell me why either.

Re: why not LT1 front brakes?

From what I've seen, they are single piston iron caliper. They don't offer enough benefits to be worth it. The rotors are only ~.5" larger as well, IIRC. Go with the 98+ set-up, it's better than the 82-97 stuff.

Re: why not LT1 front brakes?

HUGE dif when I went to LS1 brakes in my LT1 even better when I put C5 z06 brakes on my LS1. Since I'm keeping the OE rims on the 92 GTA they'll be getting LS1 brakes for sure!!!

Re: why not LT1 front brakes?

the front LT1 brakes and Third gen disc brakes are very similar and not worth the work for the minor upgrade

even though my LT1 car felt way better braking then my third gen lol.
