ctsv brembos v2
i was looking at the gm high tech magazine and stumbled across the newer ctsv calipers (six piston) .. these things are massive! and fit under the 18" wheel
im wondering if they mount the same.... i was looking at the ls tech threads before i purchased my v1 calipers off ebmiller
well they are a direct bolt onto the ls1 spindle assembly. of course shimmed and longer studs etc etc
i think theses would look great on a thirdgen!!

Re: ctsv brembos v2
These things do mount the exact same...theres just a couple of things that the guys who did this swap with those calipers and rotors weren't aware of. First off, while these calipers are a direct bolt onto the LS camaros, and the brand new 2010 models, the rotors that are used on the CTS-V are Brembo's new dual cast rotor that is 14.5 inches in diameter, and has a swept area of 67mm (the hight of where the pad sits on the rotor). So this makes the outside edge of the pad be out at 7.25 inches from the center...
Now on to the issue, the Z06 rotor being used in that swap is 14 inches in diameter, and also only has a swept area of 55mm, 12mm less than the CTS-V. So basically the top of the pad way overhangs the the outside diameter of the rotor.
Solution...buy the CTS-V rotor and caliper and have the most awesome big brake kit ever! I'm going to do this set up on my car during my engine swap...I'll be posting pictures:
