emergency break light wont come on

Transmission: 700r4
Axle/Gears: open 2.73
emergency break light wont come on
When i pull my emergency brake. The dash break light wont come on. Any suggestions?

No Parking Zone
Does the Parking Brake Light come on while you start the car?
If yes, check the switch at the Parking Brake Handle with an ohmmeter while the key is in the OFF position.
You want to see less than 1 ohm on both side of the switch to ground when the Parking Brake is engaged.

How bout those too scared to drive without headlights in the daytime
and the ones that need headlights for a little rain

See my signature for a helpful hint from someone much wiser than me, about things like ... bulbs that don't light up.
I don't recall the parking brake / brake warning light coming on during "bulb check" in these cars, but I could be wrong about that.

I had the same problem with my car. you gotta remove the shifter plate to fix it. when you raise the Brake lever two copper contacts touch and over time the contact can bend away fro the e brake contact part. You just need to bend it back.
