clarification to 1LE combination valve mods?
so been looking for a few days now trying to figure out what's involved in modifying a 1991 disc/drum proportioning valve to accomodate the 97 rear end and brakes that are on my vert now. Yes I know they are discontinued and that flynbye sells them, but being in Canada its a real pain to get anything up here at a reasonable cost (once taxes are in and shipping its almost 200$ for a proportioning valve). he sells one modified to work (http://www.flynbye.com/catalog/i160.html) so naturally since I've done almost everything from scratch on this car I want to do the valve myself as well.
Anybody have any idea what's involved? does increasing the spring rate in the valve increase the bias or does it decrease it? that's the big one I've been trying to figure out. I'm not too trilled at putting in an adjustable valve in there much rather the install and forget and eliminate the possiblility of the other person that gets to drive the car (Dad) messing with it and creating a dangerous situation.

there was some discussion on this topic in another thread, may be worth seeing what some of the other guys came up with here:

I tagged that thread for the exact same reason - stumbled across it by accident and knew I'd be doing a disc swap sometime in the (hopefully) near future...
