nickle plated rotors?

nickle plated rotors?

are nickle plated rotors any good? what is the point to them? are they more heat resistant? do they sqeel if pared with ceramic pads? any general input at all would be good. thanks

There is no benefit to nickle plated rotors. Your just going to pay more over the same thing a set of zinc washed do, regardless of the coating it is a surface that sees wear and the coatings will eventually come off the rotors surface...
They basically keep the rest of the rotors from rusting and looking nice unlike non-coated rotors that typically start rusting in the vines and rotor edges...

agreed. and if you're just concerned about the non-contact areas rusting, some high temp paint will do that for ya a lot cheaper!

The Zink will not chip or peel off. and will always look good.(car shows)
the Nickle will start to chip and flake. has rust sets in..(under it)

FOR a longer lasting finish..go with Zink. paint will chip also..IMO
