brake question
i have a 88 rs camaro. i got my brakes done last month and was hearing a rattling b4 that on my tire. the guy at the shop said i need a new bushing on the caliper but i cannot find anything about brake caliper bushings on autozone.com. i dont know maybe i just missed it or maybe it goes by another name. any help to push me in the right direction is helpful.

What the mechanic meant was your caliper slide bushings. You should be able to purchase a caliper hardware kit at any parts store. It will come with bushings and o-rings. Be sure to install the new o-rings to eliminate the rattling.

Hey whats up , the part that you need is a front disk brake hardware kit . It includes the metal bushings and the rubber that goes between the bushing and the actual caliper. This makes it fit snug. I am in the process of doing this on my 88 trans am. I ran across your thread as I was trying to find directions on how to install them correctly. I will give you the part number in a minute.
