Proportioning Valve identification?

Proportioning Valve identification?

I have a few proportioning valves and I could of swore 1 was off a 1le car but I cant remember which 1 and not sure how to identify them?? Can you tell by the numbers on the side of them?

IIRC, no. The differences will be internal, but I'm uncertain what those differences are. Perhaps another member will step in with the info, as it would be interesting.

I'm pretty sure the only difference is disc/disc or disc/drum. The diff between those is the disc drum combination valve has a proportioning valve and a hold off valve (holds off pressure to fronts until rear drums grab, this is for stability...drums are slower to operate as discs have pads close to rotor), the disc/disc one doesn't have this.

I've read that each system has increased bias: disc/drum, standard disc/disc, 1LE disc/disc.

Its been awhile since I have been into this but I also didnt think the 1Le valve only came on 1le cars. I know some of the threads are different also between the years.
