help identify these PBR calipers

ok, got these with a bunch of other stuff off a 94 LT1 z28. I got the complete rear with PBR brakes, so I don't know if these are front calipers or from something else. I want to do a brake upgrade to the front of my 91- so wondering if I can use these easily with some other kit parts. Any help in ID would be great- searched these numbers but haven't found a good answer yet.

Re: help identify these PBR calipers

lt1 cars have the same front brakes as we do. those are pbr's, and if they are 1 piston, they are rear calipers, they will not work on the front.

Re: help identify these PBR calipers

Just a quick FYI. 84-5ish corvettes had 1 piston front PBR calipers.

If the OP could get a pic thats closer of the caliper. Please post a pic of the whole caliper. that would b very helpful.

Re: help identify these PBR calipers

here is a pic of them. let me know what you think. i am trying to figure out what i want to do for a front upgrade- sounds like it will be hard to get stuff from Ed these days. i think i will need a 1le valve though- gonna use my 4th gen rear with 12" rotors and pbr calipers.

Re: help identify these PBR calipers

ok, so not worth too much in my effort to swap in some bigger front brakes- right? they are in the toolbox on my trailer- which is in another state right now- so i wasn't sure about single or dual piston and couldn't go look- just had these pics already taken. thanks for the help. maybe Ed will answer my email about some LS1 brakes

Re: help identify these PBR calipers

They will work but Im not sure if the mount is the same as the more common calipers..
Any chance of getting a pic of them flipped to see the side with the pads on it??

Re: help identify these PBR calipers

ever driven an 84 vette? I owned a Z51, the stock JL9 calipers on later years don't brake worth a damn, the J55s are decent/good. These...they are just terrible.

From the pictures they appear to be cast iron. Could be wrong, but... just saying.

RBob.
