More e-brake & braided line ?'s

I'm about to swap a 4th gen rear (LT1 w/disc's & PBR's, & 3:23's) into my '89 Iroc. While I'm at it I plan on replacing the e-brake cables & soft lines. I already did the springs, seals, bearings, sway bar, & end-link bushings.

I read that I need the 1st design cables that are 1434mm long for a '90-'92 Camaro. My '89 has the under body t-type threaded e-brake adjuster.

Since the rear is 3.8" wider than stock and there is so much adjustment in the e-brake wouldn't the longer 1460mm cable which is only 1" longer than the 1434mm cable be a better choice? In one of my searches someone said that the shorter cable was a very tight fit with their LT1 swap.

Also, does anyone market their braided line kits by application? The english-metric thread stuff is very confusing to me.

I would like to Thank the founders of this web site for creating it!!!! It has proven to be invaluable to me and thousands more. Thanks again, Steve

Ed's description of the cables say 90-92. Will they not fit an 85 with PBR's swapped in? My stock rearend is a 10 bolt drum.

My bad, Steve. I saw the 90-92 above and apparently not much else. Common board wisdom (and Ed) say the 1434 for those cars equipped with the center adjuster, the 1460 for those cars without the adjuster.

I used the 1434 on my 85 (OE rear with PBR's swapped in) to good effect.

James, did you use the 1434mm for the left side and right side?
