LS1 Rear End T/A brake size fittings.

Hello,

I've been lurking for a while and this website has definitely helped me figure out a bunch of stuff.

As far as the thread though, I recently acquired a 99 Trans Am rear end for a disc brake swap. I think I've got the parking brake stuff figured out, but searching through the forums it seems the hydraulic brake lines are always referenced as the same size for both sides going to either caliper from the flex hoses, but i used a caliper and they are definitely different sizes. Does this have something to do with the possibility of this rear end having TCS? or it being a WS6?

Rather than trying to best guess what thread/diameter they are can anyone point me in the right direction so I can go get lines and adapters to fit into my 91 Camaro brake t-block.

Pics included as well.

Thanks.

Re: LS1 Rear End T/A brake size fittings.

I'm sorry to bring an old thread up from over a year ago, but this is exactly what I'm facing now and it wasn't answered here. The only difference is that I don't have the 2 lines that attach at the bracket near the center front of the axle that presumably connect to the car. What parts will I need to complete my brake lines? This rear is going into my 1983 Z28. Thanks in advance for your help.

I sent a message to your email, but to answer I did end up just taking the lines out of both rear ends and taking them into auto zone and fitting the connectors And making my own lines. The lines were inexpensive. I don't remember the size of the fittings but a guy helped me out at auto zone. I rented a brake line bender and sorta followed the 4th gen lines. I have not worked on the Camaro in a while otherwise I would jack up the car and take a pic. Hope that helps.
