bleeder screw direction

bleeder screw direction

Guys, on the 1le front calipers, are the bleeder screws supposed to point up, or down?

think about that one a little bit. whats heavier, brake fluid or air, where will the lighter of the two want to go, where will the heavier want to go....

I'll assume that means the screw needs to be up top.
What about the retaining pin? Top or bottom? Or does it matter?

Thanks for the pic James.
I flipped my caliper/carrier from drivers side to passenger side and vice versa, so the bleeder screw is on the top. But now my retaining pin is also on the top.
Is this a problem?

Perhaps you should have left the carriers in place and swapped the calipers from side to side.
