Master Cylinder question

Hi-
What goes between the Master Cylinder and the booster? Nothing? Some kind of rubber grommet?
Pretty simple, but it has been apart for a while, and I don't remember what was there.
On the motor, there would be something... here, I don't know and cant find anything about it in my "wonderful" '83 shop manual.
Thanks

nothing, but that tiny metal rod in the center of the booster that pushed on the MC dimple.

There is a front housing seal that goes into the opening on the booster where the M/C bolts up. This is a rubber piece used to seal the housing from loss of vacuum.

RBob-
Sounds good- WHO has one?
New MC, new booster. No sign of a seal with either.
Thanks-

Will need to hit a junkyard, I looked but don't see it being sold separately. Here is a picture of it in a booster. It is located in the M/C recess.
