any help on a front C4 break upgrade would be helpfull
Today I went to the junkyardlooking for one thing and came out with a set of front C4 break calipers off of an 89 corvette.I know to mount these I need to mod the front spindles.I have a "blueprint" of this somebody had posted a long time ago BUT there are no dimensions on it,just a dotted line showing roughly what of the front spindles needed to be cut off.I work in a machine shop so the mods to the front spindles will be fairly easy as long as I know the specs.anyone know of all the specs to the front spindles for this mod? Also one thing I keep seeing is ppl posting C4 hd breaks.how do I I.co.D. if the calipers I bought are H.D. calipers.they are dual piston but I assume all vete calieprs ar prob dual piston.any help on this C4 upgrade would be helpful.please don't tell me to do a search,I am searched out and have been looking for the holy grail thread and have not found it.prob spent to much time read 1meanZ's thread on his c4 irs swap.only reason I read that was b/c the vette I got my calipers from has the complete rear end sitting right next to it minus the rear calipers.
