Im looking in to buying a 91 Camaro Z28. The dealer said the car needs new brakes. I'm not sure if he means new rotors, or what, but where can I go about finding new brakes for this car? Are there special brakes I need, and on average how much do they cost? I'm sort of on a budget and would also need to fix some other minor interior things on the car.

 

any parts store will be able to get the brakes, the calipers are under 20 bux with a core return, pads are cheap, as are rotors/hubs. Keep in mind these cars do not have slip on rotors, so its a rotor/hub, it will need bearings as well. Still not a huge deal, but i dont know what the car will need because i have not seen it.

If its a dealer, and they know it needs brakes, why have they not fixed it?

 

I'm not sure. They said it comes as is. It also needs a headliner, radio, and new dash. They haven;t fixed one thing on it.

 

what the model, engine, trans, mileage and asking price?

what dash does it need? just the top because i assume its cracked? they are hard to find and a good one will set you back a couple hundred bux and shipping.

headliner is available int eh aftermarket, or you can fix whats there.

 

It's a Z28, 305 5.0 engine, auto trans, and 91,580 miles. There asking $3000. But since it needs breaks, radio, headliner, and dash I could probably get them down a lot. For the dash I was going to use this if I decided to get it:
