I will fix this if its the last thing I do...

Hey guys let me throw down some basic info first. 83 z28 swapped in 350 and th350 trans. Done to much to car to list it all but it runs like new. My only problem is I still cannot get my brakes working right. Here is a list of whats been done:
1. New Front rotors, calipers, pads, lines
2. New shoes and hardware in back
3. New master cylinder
4. New booster

Ok so I have bled the brakes more times then I can count doing the old 2 person way and I have a gun from phoenix systems that I have used multiple times. At this moment without car on pedel is solid. Once i start it up and pop into gear if I go forward the pedel goes to floor and I stop but not like it should. Once I go in reverse after a few pumps the pedel is solid and car stops great but once I go forward again its back to the floor.

The only thing I have not messed with is the proportioning valve and I am thinking it might be the culprit. So here are a few questions:
1. Is there a way to bleed this valve or do you have to do something with it while you are bleeding rest of system?
2. I have heard about resetting it somehow but am not to sure how to do it
3. The is a nipple on the back of it and I am wondering if I am maybe suppose to have a vacuum line or something to it or what is it used for.

Always appreciate the help on these forums there is not a problem you guys haven't helped me solve yet...

Sounds like the rear shoes aren't adjusted properly. They are too far from the drum.

Just thought of something else. Make sure that with the rear shoes, that the shoe with the shorter length of pad material is the forward shoe. The shoe with the longer length of pad material is the shoe towards the rear of the car.

So I rechecked the back drums and the shoes are on right and they are adjusted just fine also. My problem is I believe is when I crack the front bleeders I hardly get any fluid to come out so It is like fluid is not flowing to the fronts just not sure why...

Sounds like there is still air in the M/C. Pull it off and bench bleed it.
