brakes squeel after car sat???
after i did my brake swap a few months ago it seems like when ever i get in my car after its sat at night or sat at school, when i first get in the brakes squeel for the first 4-5 minutes while im moving, if i apply the brakes it stops. i really want to get this figured out because this is super annoying and embarressing when your around a bunch of people. my brakes never did this till i installed the new pads and rotors. i have duralast rotors and wagner thermoquiet pads. it seems like it comes from all the wheels but i cant verify which wheel or wheels. i did the brake job and front wheel bearings and seals around april-may.

Re: brakes squeel after car sat???
did you put the little metal anti-squeak things in behind the pads? they are there to keep the pads from bouncing around and chattering.. did you use a hammer to gently hammer the little tabs on the outer pads down onto the calipers to hold them in place? no one ever does this, but you are supposed to..
you can also buy a tube of some goop that goes between the pads and the metal anti vibration tabs, too.
