BP-10 vs BP-30 Smartpads

I'm using BP-10's for the street.
Anyone have experience with the BP-30? Thinking this might be a decent track day pad.

Brian,

I have not seen to many people running the BP-30's. I believe it is a fairly new pad.

I ran the BP-10's on the track once, and had no problems with them. I suspect the 30's should be very capable.

Re: BP-10 vs BP-30 Smartpads

I burned-up a set of BP-10's in 4- 25 min sessions! Of course, Road America is big and fast. 150+ mph into turn 1 is common, similar to that into turn 5 while going down hill into turn. I like my street comfort, so I'm heavy.
I'm thinking that I could swap to these BP-30's at home before the track, get better high temp performance and better wear characteristics. Noise and dust are not concerns at track. I do like the BP-10's on street, though. Hoping to get a pad to last the day - minimize work on car/maximize work in car at track. Bridge bolt is handy feature for pad swap, but rather tinker with suspension components than brakes.
Trying to stay lightweight with 13" rotors - might be a contributing reason for burning them up. But I'm sure the track demands a better pad.
Hoping someone has experience to offer.

Running BP-20's on ours with a good mix of street, autox, and road course driving. The pads are doing a pretty good job and holding up well. Stock grade brake fluid is a different story... time to bleed it out for all fresh again....

That is crazy. You must be driving like a mad man. I only killed about 1/4 of the pads in 4x 25min sessions at Pacific. Road America is fast. My car is also heavy, at 3500lbs.

If you ever have the need, I have a set of Poly B pads laying around that I never used. Along with the BP-10's, Hawk Ceramic, Poly Q. Long story why I have so many lightly used pads, lol.

Luckily, the rotor was unharmed. Here is the Driver's side - brand new pads

That is incredible. You calipers are the full width 0.80" thick pads, right?

Yes, at first I thought I had some misalignment. But clockwise road course has predominantly rt hand turns. So driver's wheel is outside and outside pad wears more.
I wonder if race teams account for this with different pad compounds?
