LS1 brake caliper piston?

Ok I was dissembling two LS1 brake calipers, first two pistons come out fine. Got to next caliper one piston got stuck, tried getting it out with some channel lock pliers and left a few big scratches on it to we're it's not useable now. I thought well I will just buy a new piston for it, well so far all the auto parts stores have said they only have rebuilt ones for around $45-$50 each not counting core charge but to rebuild both of the calipers would only cost around $15. They said the pistons are not sold in pairs or some kind of kit. Does anyone have a part number for the pistons or any ideas to what I could do without having to shell out $50 for a whole caliper when all I need is a caliper piston?

Re: LS1 brake caliper piston?

Probably not... but if they did, it would probably cost you more than a rebuilt caliper.

Next time, use compressed air instead of pliers.
