WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS

I have a 1984 Z-28 with factory disc brakes. I will be upgrading my rear axle to a Moser or Strange 12 bolt and I've been told that the factory brakes will not work. I really would like to keep brakes original as car only has 12,000 miles. Has anyone done this conversion and what brakes are you useing? Also if I have to use differant brakes I want to be able to hook up the emergency brake without butchering up car and I am trying to keep costs low.

Thanks for any input
Frank

OK....

would like to keep brakes original
Please clarify how this is an issue..... you're getting a $2500 rear end, no doubt because the motor is already has double or triple the power of a 305 (or soon will) and therefore you need all this machinery back there, and .... those crappy Saginaw brakes are a deal-breaker somehow? I'm not sure we understand completely. (speaking strictly for myself but I think I may represent many others)
