Bigger rims Better Brakes Help!
So here is my question guys I have bigger rims on my 92 firebird 22" I know there big. I was told to upgrade brakes if so i seen kits from $400-1000, can I just put better rotor or brake pads without changing the calipers or buying something that expensive. or can I buy bigger rotors without changing the brake system.

Unless you upgrade to larger rotors, the OE system will look pitiful under 22" rims. The only way to go larger is to modify the spindle in front and remove the axle in the rear. As an example, check out the 1LE conversion:

Re: Bigger rims Better Brakes Help!
There was a very recent discussion around here about upgrading braking systems, just a few days ago, that had a lot of good info. I don't remember the thread but it shouldn't be buried too deep in the pile.
