Car: 91 camaro rs
Engine: 5.0
Transmission: T-5
brakes squeak applied
So I recently bought a 91 camaro rs 305 5 speed and I noticed there is a chirp that stops and starts very rapidly while moving, as soon as I press on the brakes the chirp stops. also its sort of off topic but it wont downshift into 3rd gear. car only has 100,100 miles on it. any help is greatly appreciated.

I would try some new brake pads. The tranny problem doesn't make since because the synchro doesn't know if you're upshifting or downshifting.
