Opinions. Best bang for your buck
So a little over a year ago i bought a posi rear from a guy that pulled it out of an 86 z. I mostly bought it because the rear had a set of brand new richmond gears and the right price. To cut a long story short it had the stock disc brake setup from 86 and after reading on this site and others it seems that setup isnt all that great. And i must say after having it on the car for a little over a year i will have to agree id like to upgrade the disc brake setup. So my question is whats the best bang for your buck as far as the aftermarket disc brake setups? I already have the upgraded proportioning valve so would it be cheapest to find a 4th gen disc brake set? Willwood also makes a nice setup too and id like to upgrade the front calipers as well so im considering going that route.
Im interested in just hearing what some other peoples opinions and suggestions are. Thanks

Rear disc from a 89-97. cheapest and lightest. (my pick of which to use)
rear disc from 98-02 is heavy and a tad more money

Awesome. That's the plan I was most likely going to go with. Is it a direct bolt up or is there some fab work that needs to be done or different aftermarket backing plates I need? Thanks for the advice

Re: Opinions. Best bang for your buck
direct bolt in for the rear end from any 4th gen car.
the front end usually requires a bit more work, and wheels if you go much bigger than some stock GM swaps
