Axle/Gears: 3.45 MSF Spool

swap 10 bolt rear drums onto a 9 bolt with rear delco-moraine disks

I hate my brakes on the 9 bolt rear axle. Old iron calipers.

I have a spare 10 bolt axle with all new brake components, I wonder how hard it would be to put the drums on the 9 bolt.

Has anyone done it ?

I want to be able to get something that will stall my converter out a little bit at the track, these disks just aren't cutting it. Drums were much better it seems.

Any info is appreciated. I searched and found that someone has done it in the past but details were sketchy, and no pics...

Since the axle flanges are different between drum and disc rears, your project may be difficult. For the difference, check the following link:

Swapping the old disc brake system to a newer version might be easier in the long run.
