Brake Issues
O.K...I was replacing the front brake hoses on 92 Camaro and the reservoir ran dry to the front discs. Rear (drums) is still full! Having let the sucker go dry, do I need to bleed the whole system again? What about the master cylinder? I bled both fronts but my light is still on and my pedal has no pressure. I know I should bleed following the correct procedure but given the rear reservoir was full and I just wanted to get the car moving again I just did the fronts. I assume I still have air in the system. I've never had these issue in the past so I'm not sure what to do next. Such a simple task can be such a pain sometimes!
Thanks

Re: Brake Issues
You don't have to remove the master cylinder to bench bleed it. Just unhook the 2 lines and put on the adapters and hoses. Then you can just push on the brakes pedal to bleed the air out. Same effect as if it was removed and chucked in a vise using a screwdriver.

Re: Brake Issues
The master needs to be level. Installed in the car it points up significantly, trapping air at the top. Sure you can level it by fiddling around jacking up the rear of the car, but its a heck of a lot easier just to remove the two nuts and do it off car. Not to mention on the bench you can actually see if you are getting air.
