My 83 Camaro has been stored in a garage for a good 10 years. I am afraid of pulling the emergency brake because it could lock up on me and I am not trying to damage anything.

What is the best way to lubricate, test or service the emergency brake before pulling it for the first time in years?

Where does it usually seize? In the lines or in the brake drums themselves?
