Two or three piece cable?
On my '82 rear disc e brake setup I ordered the 3 piece cable set as that was what was there with the so called equaliser (centre and two cable holes). The two back cables seem too long and don't equalise. I am wondering if it should have the single cable instead with the sliding equaliser.
At the moment I cant get the e brake to work evenly without damaging my wrist.
Is there a way to make a hydraulic e brake? Any ideas would be welcome.

Re: Two or three piece cable?
I finally fixed the e brake. All it needed was a 1mm shim behind the left outer pad. The trouble was that the lever was moving too far and only operating 2/3 which is way past right angles. With the shim in place the brake comes on 1/2" from the backstop. New pads might have fixed it but they are not worn out yet.
Has anyone had the piston apart? There must be some sort of sprag clutch in there.
